An experimental publication that treats creative block, error and failure as material — turning discarded attempts into a tactile editorial narrative.

Editorial design — 2025
Developed for the Project course, DEBRIS is an experimental publication that explores creative block, error and failure as integral parts of the design process. Its title refers to remains, rubble and fragments of something broken — an idea used both as a metaphor and a creative method.
Rather than concealing incomplete attempts, the project transforms them into starting points for visual experimentation. Each section introduces a theme and develops photographic, typographic and graphic responses through prompts, constraints and spontaneous impulses. Combining analogue and digital processes, the publication turns fragments and unexpected outcomes into an expressive, tactile editorial narrative.
The creative direction and many visual decisions were developed collaboratively. My contribution included developing the layout of selected pages, editing some of the images and taking part in print production. The gallery foregrounds the pages where I had greater involvement, alongside a clear note about the collaborative authorship of the overall concept.
